This past April, we visited the Mexico-Texas border for our Extraordinary Program trip. We spent two days spent caulking, fixing and painting the home of a 76 year old woman. We also helped out at a food bank, preparing boxes of food and supplies for children in schools. Half a day was spent at a center where immigrants with small children are held until all paper work is completed and they can go to their sponsor's homes. We visited the Museum of Texas History, guided by the executive director who has spent his life studying the subject and teaching it at the University. We also spent a day at the beach, body surfing, sand building and swimming.
